Caring for God’s Church
God cares deeply about His Church and has appointed spiritual leaders to care for His people. Pastors and elders are to nurture and care for the church by living the Christian life with integrity, teaching sound doctrine faithfully, and by being generous towards others. Caring for the Church isn’t the leader’s responsibility alone, every Christian should care about the church and live according to God’s Word. --- God can do amazing things through ordinary people who are empowered by the Holy Spirit. In the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit was given to all believers and the church was born. The church is God's chosen instrument in the world for sharing the good news about Jesus Christ. The book of Acts is all about the unhindered movement of God throughout the world as the gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed through the church. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the early church was an unstoppable movement that proclaimed the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life. Today, the church empowered by the Holy Spirit is called to continue God's redeeming work in the world by fulfilling God's mission of making Jesus known to the ends of the earth.

Challenge: Healthy churches will be led by Godly leaders who lead by example, teach sound doctrine faithfully, and who live generous lives. Although addressed to leaders in the church, all Christians would benefit from living in accordance with God’s Word. Take time to encourage your Pastors and church leaders. Keep them accountable to living God’s standard for their lives as leaders and help them win in ministry. Value the church and take time to care for God’s people in both word and deed.
