The War for Life

Romans 13:11,12 CEV You know what sort of times we live in, and so you should live properly. It is time to wake up. You know that the day when we will be saved is nearer now than when we first put our faith in the Lord. Night is almost over, and day will soon appear. We must stop behaving as people do in the dark and be ready to live in the light.

1. Christianity is seen as something to be marginalized.
2. Christianity is seen as something to be mocked.
3. Christianity is seen as an object of maliciousness.
4. Christianity is seen as an evil malignancy.

II. The necessity of embracing life in our worldview
A. Tolerance lines have been drawn in the wrong places.
B. Love has been cheapened.
C. Life has been cheapened.

III. Living in a time of war
A. Many in the Body of Christ have adopted
1. The attitude of Lot - an understanding of the Holy, but willing to sacrifice his children.
2. The attitude of Ahab - The accommodation of Molech into the worship of Yahweh.
3. This was the sin that caused God to drive out the inhabitants of Canaan, and it was the sin that Israel embraced that led to their exile.
4. Stop justifying the sin of abortion by accommodating other sins. I know of almost no sin in our society with the moral equivalency of abortion.
5. I also believe that human trafficking, slavery and child mistreatment is generated by the same demonic entities.
B. Return to your role as spouse, parent, family members.
C. Stop the process of conformation to this present world system (Romans 12:1, 2).

Christian Life Lessons
1. We must learn to love those who do not love us as we seek to return to Biblical principles. We don’t have all the answers, but we’d better pay attention to the ones we do have.
2. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal (not of the flesh). We don’t embrace violence or the wrath of man. We utilize tools (such as politics), but we do not place our trust in them (Some trust in chariots; some trust in horses, but we will trust in the name of our God Psalm 20:7 CEV “Some people trust the power of chariots or horses, but we trust you, Lord God.
3. We must put our confidence in The Lord’s Keeping Power for our children.

Numbers 14:29 33 NIV In this wilderness your bodies will fall every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me. Not one of you will enter the land I swore with uplifted hand to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun. As for your children that you said would be taken as plunder, I will bring them in to enjoy the land you have rejected. But as for you, your bodies will fall in this wilderness. Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness.

4. Teach and model Christianity for our children.
“Jesus changed the world by what He taught and how He lived.”
