Sunday Worship October 7, 2018

Sunday Worship October 7, 2018

Grace is foundational to our faith, yet one of the hardest things to wrap our heads around. It’s free, but costly. It’s the only path to life, but means dying. It’s for those who aren’t perfect and those who think they are. It’s extended to everyone, but only accepted by a few. It’s amazing and the best news ever, but we make it messy. Join us as we take a deep dive into God’s grace and the mess we make of it the next four weeks as we remember that grace is for everyone, grace is always loving, grace is always true, and that grace is for you.

Sermon Notes & Scripture
"Messy Grace: Grace is for Everyone"
Pastor Matt Schaffner

John 4:4-38

God extends His grace to us purposefully and meets us wherever we are.

John 4:4

Grace is for everyone, no matter where they are.
God extends His grace to us compassionately and meets us in our mess.

John 4:17-18

Grace is for everyone, no matter who they are or have been.
God extends His grace to us in spirit and truth and cuts through our chaos.

John 4:19-24

Grace is for everyone, no matter how confused their beliefs might be.
God extends His grace to us to strengthen us for His mission.

John 4:28-29, John 4:38-39

Grace is for everyone, given so we can share it!
Monday is coming!
What happens Sunday is only as meaningful as what you do with it the rest of the week. This week dig into the truth of God's Word and see what grace is and freely offer it to everyone you possibly can- knowing that those "chance" meetings are God's nudging to share His great grace! Jesus sought to seek and save everyone He could, are you following in His footsteps?
