The Names of God tell us Who He Is and What He Does
· Jehovah-jireh – Abraham in Genesis 22:14 (altar with Isaac) “The Lord will Provide”
· Jehovah-rophe – Healing the bitter waters at Marah in Exodus 15:26 “The Lord our Healer”
· Jehovah-Nisei – Battle against Amalekites “the flesh”, in Exodus 17:15 “The Lord my Banner”
· Jehovah- M’Kaddesh – to Jacob he was the oil of the Holy Spirit, the sanctifier that restores, cleanses and heals in the heat of life. “The Lord that Sanctifies You”
· Jehovah-shalom – To Gideon in Judges 6:24 he was the “Lord our Peace” who heals our emotions.
· Jehovah-rohi – “The Lord my Shepherd” of Psalm 23.
· Jehovah-tsidkenu – Jeremiah 23:6 “Lord our Righteousness” who removes the guilt of our sin for His name’s sake.
· Jehovah-shammah – Ezekiel 31:13 “The Lord is There” He is with us from beginning to end.
