The Power of Perspective
Perspective is how we see what we see. It’s not just what we see, it’s how we see what we see. Today we're talking about four dangerous things that happen when we lose our God-centered, spiritual perspective. And, more importantly, what it looks like to keep from losing it or get it back if we’ve already lost it.

Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift.
Perspective is how we see what we see.
Perspective shifting is the ability to change how we see what we see.
1. We fixate on the obstacles and forget the opportunities.
- Caleb’s perspective on the facts was determined by his faith.
- The scout’s perspective on the facts was determined by their fear.
We feed what we focus on and we grow what we feed.
We tend to infect others with our negativity.
2. We overestimate the obstacles.
3. We question God’s goodness.
We end up rejecting what God’s calling us into and romanticizing what He’s led us out of.
4. We stop short of taking possession of all God’s promised.
1. Focus on better “buts.”
3. Remember and reflect on God’s goodness.
