Scripture Text: Colossians 3:1-4
Preparation Question: What do you think Heaven will be like?
1. Heaven is not automatic for anyone without repentance in faith. (v. 1)
2. Heaven is to be thought about often. (v. 2)
3. Heaven, the eternal life there and not the fading existence here, is what we are meant to live for. (v. 3)
4. Heaven is meant to be longed for. (v. 4)
Response Questions
1. Have you been "raised with Christ''? What does Paul mean by that phrase?
2. What "things" are being referred to when God through Paul says to "set your minds on things that are above"? How does one go about doing that?
3. Does your idea of Heaven make you excited or apprehensive? Explain.
4. As you take stock of your life, does it reflect more a dying to self or a living for self?
