“God commanded that every fiftieth year would be a Jubilee. Just as the Sabbath was a day of rest each week, so Jubilee was a restoration after forty-nine years. All Jewish bondservants would be released. All property sold because of debt would be restored to the ancestral family. All personal debts would be forgiven. It was an economic principle of compassion that ensured natural disaster or personal catastrophe would no be visited on the next generation. It was a brilliant gift of God to the nation”.

If my heart does not break for the brokenhearted, then perhaps it’s me that is the one who is truly broken.
Do you lack compassion for a certain people group?
Do you lack understanding for certain ethnicities or social groups?
Are you dismissive to people who don’t think like you because of your politics?
To proclaim faith in Jesus without applying his teaching of the full gospel we miss the experience of a full life.
