Group Discussion: At Christmas we give gifts to one another to celebrate God’s gift to us in the birth of Jesus. What does your family do to personally celebrate Jesus resurrection and Easter?

Why is his resurrection fully believed?

#1. The disciples were totally convinced. Read through the prophecies in the sermon outline and choose which one you think is most convincing to you. The Biblical writers appealed to the Old Testament and fulfilled prophecy constantly in their letters and gospels. Most of the prophecies were written between 400 and 800 years before Jesus was born. Does that increase your confidence in God’s control of His World and His sovereignty over historical events?

#2. 2,000 years of convinced followers; the church. The followers of Christ make up the largest religion in the World. How and when did you find yourself convinced and join the Church of Jesus Christ?

#3. The culmination of the Bible being fully written. How do you interact with the Bible? Do you have a time everyday or a regular schedule when you read Scripture? Have you ever read a Proverb a day, 31 proverbs, 31 days a month, and thought about how to use it? What is your favorite book of the Bible to read?

Jesus was uniquely qualified & His followers totally convinced that they wrote His story down and communicated it so widely that even secular history confirms it.

Family Time: take a walk with your kids and look at the leaves and flowers budding, ask them, “why does god have everything start new every spring?”
