Mission Hills Church
Unleashed | Moving Out on Mission
The greatest thing keeping us from the life God has for us might just be…us. We have a choice: hide behind the comfortable and the familiar, or step into the unknown…and a life unleashed.

Welcome to Mission Hills!

Mission Hills is a church family—a family who wants to extend to you the same love, hope, and joy that we have received. We know that we cannot be all things to all people. But we do want to be one thing to all people. We want to be the place where anyone, of any age, of any level of spiritual maturity, of any economic class, of any ethnicity, of any church background—or no church background—can meet God in a way that transforms their life…forever!

If you are a first time guest, we would love to meet you! Stop by the Welcome Center for a free gift.
Information doesn't drive transformation.
But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. (1 Cor. 8:1-2)
But it came to be that Peter was travelling about through all places… (CLT),
Here a great number of disabled people used to lie-- the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. (John 5:3-5)
The more Peter followed Jesus on mission, the more he became like Jesus.
The widows were wondering, "Who's going to provide for us now?"
Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. (Acts 9:40a)
This is a demonstration of humility.
Turning toward the dead woman, he said, "Tabitha, get up." (Acts 9:40b)
// Jesus took her by the hand and said to her, "Talitha koum!" (Mark 5:41)
// Turning toward the dead woman, [Peter] said, “Tabitha koum!” (Acts 9:40b)
She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up. 41 He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive. (Acts 9:40b-41)
This miracle wasn’t proof of Peter’s power, it was proof of Peter’s willingness to humbly serve the powerless.
If we want to become like Jesus, we have to humbly serve others in need.
How will I humble myself and follow Jesus on mission by serving someone in need this week?
