In the Great Reassessment, many have chosen FOOLISHLY, or allowed FEAR to drive them down a course of choices that have effectively UPROOTED them from where God chose to PLANT THEM. (Both location and habit or process)
We grow UP when we put our roots DOWN
Prayer doesn’t move God toward us. Prayer moves us toward God.
The Tabernacle with its seven stations and six pieces of furniture provide great imagery for us to use as a prayer model.
1. The Outer Court: Give God thanks (what He’s done) and praise (for who He is)
You are my Salvation
You are my Healer
You have Redeemed me
You have Transformed me
You have Blessed me
2. The Brazen Altar: Focus on the Cross
Nails: Freedom from my Past
Spear: Freedom in my heart
Crown: Freedom in my mind
Whip: Freedom in my body
3. The Laver: Offer every part of my life to God.
Do it physically:
· Brain – mind to be transformed and used by God.
· Eyes – focus on God and the needs of others
· Ears – tune into God and tune the world out
· Tongue – Build people up (Ephesians 4:29)
· Hands – hands of hope and healing
· Feet – steps ordered by the Lord, walk in your ways
· Body – is temple of the Holy Spirit, let my life honor you today
4. The Candlestick: Invite the work of the Holy Spirit in my life.
5. The Table of Shewbread: Claim the promises in God’s Word.
6. The Altar of Incense: Worship His Name.
A man on his face can never fall from that position.”
Jehovah Tsidkenu: My Righteousness
(Jeremiah 23:6)
Jehovah M’Kaddesh: My Sanctifier
(Leviticus 20:7-8)
Jehovah Rapha: My Healer
(Exodus 15:26)
Jehovah Jireh: My Provider
(Genesis 22:14)
Jehovah Nissi: My Banner
(Exodus 17:15)
Jehovah Shalom: My Peace
(Judges 6:24)
Jehovah Raah: My Shepherd
(Psalm 23:1)
Jehovah Shammah: The Lord is there
(Ezekiel 48:35)
7. The Ark of the Covenant: Intercede for others.
Pray for:
· Those in Authority – Leaders in the church, government, family and workplace
· Those who are marginalized – those suffering injustice, the poor, the widowed, the weak
· Your family – both immediate and extended family members
· Your church – pastors, leaders, members and missionaries
· Your community – people in your city, nation and world
· Your relationships – friends, coworkers, acquaintances
· Your adversaries – those with whom you disagree
