Giving Thanks is designed to be an external expression of joy, a standing OVATION to God!
Emotion is when we emote over something that has happened, and that has been done by someone.
Emotionalism is when we emote over nothing that has been done by no one.

In church, it is not EMOTIONALISM, because we are shouting to a God who is Here, a God who is REAL, a God who is ALIVE, a God who is TOUCHING, a God who is SAVING, a God who is at work in our lives SHOWING HIMSELF POWERFULLY on our behalf.
VS. 2 says that we BRING A GIFT OF LAUGHTER AND SING OURSELVES INTO HIS PRESENCE.

2. This Celebration is based upon INFORMATION.
