We have to make a lot of decisions in life, and the sum total of these decisions end up determining the lives we end up living.

We all would like the ability to make better decisions, or in Christian terms, to know God’s will for our lives. Would we live a better life if we had the mind of Christ? Scripture teaches us that we can.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

Those who have the Holy Spirit have access to the plans God has for them.

Those who have the Holy Spirit have the mind of Christ.

Those who do not have the Holy Spirit cannot accept the things of God.

To have the MIND of Christ is to know God’s will.

Majestic Will - This is God’s Sovereign, Providential Will - what He has determined to do and nothing can stop it from happening.

The joy in joining God in his Majestic will is that we already know we win!

Intentional Will - This is God’s missional will, what God wants to see accomplished. We find this laid out in the pages of His Word.

The joy in joining God in his Intentional will is that it makes us more like him.

Noble Will - Another way to describe this is Moral Will. This is how God wants us to behave.

The joy in joining God in his Noble will is that it keeps us a more full life with less regrets.

Distinct Will - This is God’s will for the specifics of our lives - the decisions we need to make as individuals.

If you want to be in the will of God, look to see where God is working and join him. Then you will be in the will of God.

When we need to make a specific decision, we can process this through the MIND filter.

God’s will is revealed in his word, through his Spirit, to his people. His Majestic, Intentional, Noble will is revealed in the Bible. The Spirit guides us in our understanding and His people receive it.

Our biggest issue is not in knowing God’s will, but not wanting to do God’s will.

Proverbs 3:5-6

This is where crazy faith comes in. We have to trust, lean and submit, before God makes the path straight.
