St. Paul's Bloor Street
Welcome to St. Paul's Bloor Street! Our vision is a church made alive, a city made new, and a people made whole. Today we're continuing with our sermon series: "Who's in Charge? The Politics of King Jesus" and looking at Matthew 12:1-6.

Questions to Ponder:

1. The longer the pandemic goes, weariness is a growing issue. How are you feeling in the midst of it? Weary? Tired? Coping?

2. How do you find rest? It is a hobby, or some activity that allows you to recharge?

3. The burden of the Sabbath laws layered on by the Pharisees were crushing to the soul. They were more interested in rule keeping than 'people-keeping." Have you ever experienced the burden of religious rule keeping?

4. In Matthew 11:28-30, what we call the Comfortable Words, Jesus said come, take, learn and rest. How do you interpret his Sabbath invitation?

Closing Prayer:
Loving God, open our ears to hear your word and draw us closer to you, that the whole world may be one with you as you are one with us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
