Questions to Ponder:

1. Are you familiar with the Beatitudes? What strikes you about them?

2. How is the vision of the Kingdom of God that Jesus portrays in the Beatitudes different from what we see in our world today?

3. Is there one Beatitude that you tend to relate to more than the others? If so, why?

4. Which of the Beatitudes stand out to you as particularly difficult?

5. Do you view the Beatitudes as attainable for you or for others?

6. How has Jesus fulfilled the Beatitudes for all of us?

7. Where do you see God’s Spirit allowing you to live more into this vital teaching?

Closing Prayer:
Loving God, open our ears to hear your word and draw us closer to you, that the whole world may be one with you as you are one with us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
