Everyone is a jerk sometimes.
The Samaritans were mean to Jesus because of an established sinful pattern.
You'll do great if you just "follow your heart."
You'll do great if you "follow God's heart."
Quit being surprised when people fail.
Admit your need for God's intervention.
Give your children more than "follow your heart."

Spiritual transformation is a process.
The disciples took their best guess at what might please God.
How am I doing at growing up?
The challenge is to move beyond mistakes to maturity.
