Volunteer Opportunities
Expand
One of the best ways to meet people, develop relationships, and grow as a follower of Jesus is to serve in the local church — and it’s not just on the weekends! Certain serving opportunities are available throughout the week. We want Momentum Church to feel like family. To help our family be connected we encourage everyone to find a place to serve. We need hundreds of Volunteers each week to make Momentum possible. You can find your spot on any team at http://www.momentumchurch.org/serve.

Jesus' Birthday Offering
Expand
At the end of every year, we do a series where we stretch our faith and challenge ourselves to finish the year strong. This year, our series is called Falling Into Grace. On Sun, Dec 23, we’ll join our faith together and the series will usher in a special Jesus’ Birthday Offering dedicated to expansion and missions. Prayerfully consider what God would lead you to give over and above the tithe so we can spread the love and hope of Jesus to even more people. TAKEAWAY: God Cleans Up What We‘ve Messed Up!

Mercy is when I do not get what I deserve. (Hell)
GRACE is when I get what I do not deserve! (Heaven)

Religion says you can work (earn) your way to God.
Your decisions….Your behaviour modification….

You can’t do enough to get your life right with God!!!

Grace = unmerited favor.
Grace is God at work doing what we could never do!

Jesus was FULL of GRACE and TRUTH! (John 1:14)

1. Grace cleans up what we‘ve messed up! (John 8:1-11) (God chooses to do what we couldn’t do)
2. Grace is never earned, only offered! (Luke 15:11-32)
3. Grace understands the weight of sin yet doesn’t condemn!

John 8:1-11 (NLT)
A Woman Caught in Adultery
Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, 2 but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. 3 As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd.4 “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” (Lev. 20:10, Deut. 22:22)6 They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. 7 They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” (Deut. 17:5-7) 8 Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. 9 When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. 10 Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” 11 “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.”

(Luke 9:56, John 3:17)

Grace = GO
Truth = and SIN NO MORE!

Romans 5:20 NLT
God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.

- Unexpected & Undeserved
- Jesus restores our dignity and our worth!

God’s grace is greater than our sin!

God’s grace is stronger than our shame!

God’s grace is louder than our critics!

God’s grace is always more than enough!

- Grace cleans up what we‘ve messed up!

John 3:17
God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
