The Crossing
It is not enough to say we believe in Jesus. We need to put feet to our faith. We are going to circle the wagons around the core of Christianity and ask how to live it out where we live our lives.
History is made, futures are shaped by the messages we carry, and we all have one.
Our message is a Declaration of Dependence. We are declaring our dependence solidly on the person and work of Jesus Christ.
A personal experience is better than a professional explanation. Surveys report that more and more people see sharing the Gospel as the role of the church and not the believer.
We believe we don’t know what to say, or we don’t know enough.

There are many ways to share the gospel and tools we can use to help us.
Arrow down - Jesus came to earth as the Son of God to live the perfect life we could never live.
Cross - He died on the cross to pay for our sins.
Circle - Three days later he rose from the dead, proving that he was the Son of God. He showed us that death no longer has power over us. Hell has lost its sting.
Arrow Up - He ascended up into heaven where he is advocating for us before God.
Arrow Down - One day he will come back to take us all to be with him in heaven.
Arrow to the Right - Our job is to receive this message into our hearts, allow it to direct our lives, and share it with the world.

What happened to us being the one who wanted to go public for Jesus, who wanted to bring hope and healing? We have gone from wanting the ball to playing hot potato with the Gospel.
Perhaps we struggle because we have forgotten at the very core what the Gospel is - it is Good NEWS and Good NEWS for everyone!
