We have all seen funny moments happen during the worship time of a service, whether it is a drummer going wild or a slip or trip on stage. But the kind of worship fails that are far more damaging are the fails that affect our relationship with God. Worship is a lifestyle. Worship is a relationship. Worship is everything we do to please God, which is what we were created for in the first place.
When we get asked how our relationship with God is going, our answer reveals something about the way we define that relationship. It could be about the things we do or don’t do, our feelings or the approval of others. But at the end of the day, God is looking for worshippers who worship in Spirit and in truth and we can become those kinds of worshippers if we avoid these pitfalls.
