God and I Don't See Eye-to-Eye - Carlo Casaleggio
Life is not fair. There are many things that happen that seem to show that God favours some people and not others. Some are better looking. Some have greater opportunities. Some get born into wealth. Even when we look at the scriptures, we may quarrel with God about why he does certain things. He killed Ananias and Saphira. He allowed Peter to preach on the day of Pentecost – just after he had denied Jesus. He allowed Satan to harm Job’s life. When we judge things by our own wisdom and by the standards of the world, we can easily find things to disagree with God about. But when we realise that He knows all things and his ways are higher than our ways, we can trust him with our lives even when it doesn’t make sense.

1. God has a right to do whatever he pleases

God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and his ways are not our ways.
2. A lesson about grace

All who respond to God’s invitation will receive all that there is to receive.
3. It’s never too late to come to the Lord

God invites everyone repeatedly, in order to gather as many people as possible into his vineyard.
4. We are to be thankful without comparing ourselves to others

We don’t serve God so that he will love us more, because he loves us completely and all the same.
Remember:
God’s ways are higher than mine.
