Fire can be a destructive force of great power, but it can also be a source of refining the purest gold. In terms of the fires caused by trials in life, it is not a question of if but rather when they will come. The story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego reminds us that God is able to deliver us and is willing to step into the impossible situations in our lives. Their example of courage and faith in their trial encourages us to respond in the same way to our trials. The same God, who was with them, is with us and the same way that they responded to God is available to us.
