The Birth of the Church: Week 5 - Phil Kendon

The Birth of the Church: Week 5 - Phil Kendon

At the end of Acts chapter 3, we have a crippled man healed and a crowd gathered in the temple courts as Peter preaches about Jesus. But at the beginning of chapter 4, trouble is brewing when the religious leaders make an arrest. The authorities are caught between a rock and a hard place because there is an undeniable miracle and the crowds are amazed, but at the same time there is a very disturbing message and a disruption to the status quo. Chapter 4 starts with persecution, but it ends with prayer as the church brings their circumstance before God for help.
