The world measures success by profile or power but these are not the standards that Jesus uses. He called Thaddaeus to be one of his 12 disciples. This is not a name we often hear of and very little of his life and ministry is recorded. And yet he was one of the 12 who cast out demons, healed the sick and served his Lord, Jesus, completely. Every person is special in the eyes of God and he knows us each by name. Whether we serve as the CEO of a large company or the janitor of a school, God is interested in our life and we matter to him.
1. People may not know your name, but Jesus does
Nobody may remember that Thaddaeus was one of those 12, but Jesus does. Whether you are world famous or invisible to others – Jesus knows your name.

2. People may not realise your worth, but Jesus does
Jesus has chosen you and called you to do something for him – that’s how much he values you.

3. People may not recognise your effort, but Jesus does
Others may tell you that you are wasting your time and you should quit. But Jesus sees your efforts and he will reward you in due time.
