1 Corinthians 6

Lawsuits among believers
1If any of you has a dispute with another, do you dare to take it before the ungodly for judgment instead of before the Lord’s people? 2Or do you not know that the Lord’s people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? 3Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life! 4Therefore, if you have disputes about such matters, do you ask for a ruling from those whose way of life is scorned in the church? 5I say this to shame you. Is it possible that there is nobody among you wise enough to judge a dispute between believers? 6But instead, one brother takes another to court – and this in front of unbelievers!
7The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? 8Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. 9Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men#6:9 The words men who have sex with men translate two Greek words that refer to the passive and active participants in homosexual acts. 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Sexual immorality
12‘I have the right to do anything,’ you say – but not everything is beneficial. ‘I have the right to do anything’ – but I will not be mastered by anything. 13You say, ‘Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.’ The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, ‘The two will become one flesh.’#6:16 Gen. 2:24 17But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.#6:17 Or in the Spirit
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. 19Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies.

Mynd i Gyfraith gerbron Anghredinwyr
1Os oes gan un ohonoch gŵyn yn erbyn un arall, a yw'n beiddio mynd â'i achos gerbron yr annuwiol, yn hytrach na cherbron y saint? 2Oni wyddoch mai'r saint sydd i farnu'r byd? Ac os yw'r byd yn cael ei farnu gennych chwi, a ydych yn anghymwys i farnu'r achosion lleiaf? 3Oni wyddoch y byddwn yn barnu angylion, heb sôn am bethau'r bywyd hwn? 4Felly, os bydd gennych achosion fel hyn, a ydych yn gosod yn farnwyr y rhai sydd isaf eu parch yng ngolwg yr eglwys? 5I godi cywilydd arnoch yr wyf yn dweud hyn. A yw wedi dod i hyn, nad oes neb doeth yn eich plith fydd yn gallu barnu rhwng cydgredinwyr? 6A yw credinwyr yn mynd i gyfraith â'i gilydd, a hynny gerbron anghredinwyr? 7Yn gymaint â'ch bod yn ymgyfreithio o gwbl â'ch gilydd, yr ydych eisoes, yn wir, wedi colli'r dydd. Pam, yn hytrach, na oddefwch gam? Pam, yn hytrach, na oddefwch golled? 8Ond gwneud cam yr ydych chwi, peri colled yr ydych, a hynny i gydgredinwyr. 11A dyna oedd rhai ohonoch chwi; ond yr ydych wedi'ch golchi, a'ch sancteiddio, a'ch cyfiawnhau trwy enw'r Arglwydd Iesu Grist, a thrwy Ysbryd ein Duw ni.
Gogoneddwch Dduw yn eich Corff
12“Y mae popeth yn gyfreithlon i mi,” meddwch; ond nid yw popeth er lles. “Y mae popeth yn gyfreithlon i mi,” meddwch; ond ni chaiff dim fy nghaethiwo i. 13“Y bwydydd i'r bol a'r bol i'r bwydydd,” meddwch; ond fe ddifetha Duw y naill a'r llall. Eto, nid i buteindra y mae'r corff, ond i'r Arglwydd, a'r Arglwydd i'r corff. 14Cyfododd Duw yr Arglwydd, ac fe'n cyfyd ninnau hefyd drwy ei allu. 15Oni wyddoch mai aelodau Crist yw eich cyrff chwi? A gymeraf fi, felly, aelodau Crist a'u gwneud yn aelodau putain? Dim byth! 16Neu oni wyddoch fod dyn sy'n ymlynu wrth butain yn un corff â hi? Oherwydd y mae'r Ysgrythur yn dweud, “Bydd y ddau yn un cnawd.” 17Ond y sawl sy'n ymlynu wrth yr Arglwydd, y mae'n un ysbryd ag ef. 18Ffowch oddi wrth buteindra; pob pechod arall a wna rhywun, beth bynnag ydyw, y tu allan i'r corff y mae, ond y mae'r sawl sydd yn puteinio yn pechu yn erbyn ei gorff ei hun. 19Neu, oni wyddoch fod eich corff yn deml i'r Ysbryd Glân sydd ynoch, yr hwn sydd gennych oddi wrth Dduw, ac nad yr eiddoch eich hunain mohonoch? 20Oherwydd prynwyd chwi am bris. Felly gogoneddwch Dduw yn eich corff.
