Psalms 119:95-96
Psalms 119:89-96 The Message (MSG)
What you say goes, GOD, and stays, as permanent as the heavens. Your truth never goes out of fashion; it’s as relevant as the earth when the sun comes up. Your Word and truth are dependable as ever; that’s what you ordered—you set the earth going. If your revelation hadn’t delighted me so, I would have given up when the hard times came. But I’ll never forget the advice you gave me; you saved my life with those wise words. Save me! I’m all yours. I look high and low for your words of wisdom. The wicked lie in ambush to destroy me, but I’m only concerned with your plans for me. I see the limits to everything human, but the horizons can’t contain your commands! * * *
Psalms 119:95-96 King James Version (KJV)
The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: But I will consider thy testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection: But thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Psalms 119:95-96 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
The wicked wait for me to destroy me; I shall diligently consider Your testimonies. I have seen a limit to all perfection; Your commandment is exceedingly broad.
Psalms 119:95-96 New Century Version (NCV)
Wicked people are waiting to destroy me, but I will think about your rules. Everything I see has its limits, but your commands have none.
Psalms 119:95-96 American Standard Version (ASV)
The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me; But I will consider thy testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection; But thy commandment is exceeding broad. מ MEM.
Psalms 119:95-96 New International Version (NIV)
The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes. To all perfection I see a limit, but your commands are boundless.
Psalms 119:95-96 New King James Version (NKJV)
The wicked wait for me to destroy me, But I will consider Your testimonies. I have seen the consummation of all perfection, But Your commandment is exceedingly broad.
Psalms 119:95-96 Amplified Bible (AMP)
The wicked wait for me to destroy me, But I will consider Your testimonies. I have seen that all [human] perfection has its limits [no matter how grand and perfect and noble]; Your commandment is exceedingly broad and extends without limits [into eternity]. [Rom 3:10-19]
Psalms 119:95-96 New Living Translation (NLT)
Though the wicked hide along the way to kill me, I will quietly keep my mind on your laws. Even perfection has its limits, but your commands have no limit.
Psalms 119:95-96 The Passion Translation (TPT)
Even though evil men wait in ambush to kill me, I will set my heart before you to understand more of your ways. I’ve learned that there is nothing perfect in this imperfect world except your words, for they bring such fantastic freedom into my life!
