1 Corinthians 15:11-12
1 Corinthians 15:10-15 The Message (MSG)
But because God was so gracious, so very generous, here I am. And I’m not about to let his grace go to waste. Haven’t I worked hard trying to do more than any of the others? Even then, my work didn’t amount to all that much. It was God giving me the work to do, God giving me the energy to do it. So whether you heard it from me or from those others, it’s all the same: We spoke God’s truth and you entrusted your lives. Now, let me ask you something profound yet troubling. If you became believers because you trusted the proclamation that Christ is alive, risen from the dead, how can you let people say that there is no such thing as a resurrection? If there’s no resurrection, there’s no living Christ. And face it—if there’s no resurrection for Christ, everything we’ve told you is smoke and mirrors, and everything you’ve staked your life on is smoke and mirrors. Not only that, but we would be guilty of telling a string of barefaced lies about God, all these affidavits we passed on to you verifying that God raised up Christ—sheer fabrications, if there’s no resurrection.
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 King James Version (KJV)
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995)
Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 New Century Version (NCV)
So if I preached to you or the other apostles preached to you, we all preach the same thing, and this is what you believed. Now since we preached that Christ was raised from the dead, why do some of you say that people will not be raised from the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 American Standard Version (ASV)
Whether then it be I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed. Now if Christ is preached that he hath been raised from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 New International Version (NIV)
Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed. But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 New King James Version (NKJV)
Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
So whether it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed and trusted in and relied on with confidence. Now if Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how is it that some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 New Living Translation (NLT)
So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach, for we all preach the same message you have already believed. But tell me this—since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead?
1 Corinthians 15:11-12 The Passion Translation (TPT)
So this is what we all have taught you, and whether it was through me or someone else, you have now believed the gospel. The message we preach is Christ, who has been raised from the dead. So how could any of you possibly say there is no resurrection of the dead?
